One day Darla, Alfalfa, and Buckweed were in school and the teacher told them " I am going to give you each a word to spell and then use it in a sentence."

"Darla you are first." "Your word is cat."

"C-A-T. Cat. Darla has a cat at home."

"Very good Darla. Alfalfa it's your turn. Spell love."

"L-O-V-E. Alfalfa loves Darla."

"Very good Alfalfa. Buckweed it's your turn. Spell dictate."

"Ye ma'am. D-I-C-T-A-T. Darla say Buckweed dictat good."
