Funny late guy

One day a guy came in to work. The boss asked why he came so late. The guy says," The ice out on the road was so slippery that when I took one step forward, It knocked me 2 steps back." The boss then suspiciously asks, "Then how did you get here?'' The guy says, " I just gave up and started for home!"
