The Blonde and the Bull

So, there were these two sisters -- a blonde and a brunette. They had just inherited a farm, and the brunette decided to go out of town to buy a bull. Her sister, the blonde, had some errands to run in their town, so the brunette just decided she'd take a cab or a bus or something. Once she had bought their bull, she walked to the telegram office to send her sister a message that she needed to hitch up the trailer and come get the bull and herself.

"How much to send a telegram out of town?" the brunette asked.

"99 cents a word, ma'am." said the man behind the desk.

"Crap..I only have a dollar on me..."

After thinking a minute, the brunette told the man her story and decided on a word she could send.

"Comfortable."

"What? Why comfortable?"

"You see, my sister...she's a blonde. She has problems with 'big words.' She'd pronounce it 'Com-for-da-bull'"
