Slow down or stop

Ok, I know this one is kinda old but I like it.

A hotshot exec was racing down the road one day when he came to a stop sign.  He slowed down, saw that no one was coming and sped off.  He didn't make more than fifty feet down the road when a cop pulled him over.  The officer asked for his license and registration.  The exec was annoyed.  "What did I do?"  The officer remained calm.  "Sir you failed to stop at a stop sign.  Thats a misdemeanor."  The officer again asked for the mans license and registration.  The exec was steamed.  "You pulled me over for that.  You could be out catching real criminals and you pull me over for that!"  The officer maintained his composure.  "Sir, I have my job to do.  Now I may see your license and registration please."  The exec throws his license at the officer.  "Here, now why don't you go eat a donut you fat pig!"  The officer has had enough.  He asks the man to step out of his car and then pulls his nightstick and proceeds to beat the man over the head, after several strikes the officer asks the man.  "Now, would you like me to slow down or come to a complete stop!"
