Giving birth

A husband, his pregnant wife, and the doctor are all in the delivery room getting ready for the birth. 

The doctor tells the husband that they have a special machine that will transfer the pain from the wife to the father. 

The husband agrees and they strap him in.  First they set the machine at 10% to make sure they don't overdo it.  The husband says it doesn't hurt and to crank it up.  So they put it at 50%, husband says it's not that bad and to crank it all the way.

They do.

The wife gives birth with no pain or repercussions and the husband is fine.  As they are walking home to their front door with the baby in tow, they see on their front porch their milkman,

lying dead on the side walk.
