How to ruin a joke

  1. Listen to the joke.

  3. Start laughing before the joke is finished.

  7. Say something stupid or unrelated, or something totally tasteless and out of place

  9. Laugh obnoxiously (snort or screech).

  11. Crack up upon hearing a joke, then ask the Joke teller to repeat it for you. Laugh again just as hard, and then repeat the joke to the others as if practicing. Laugh every time you deliver the punchline, then add unfunny followups and laugh at those, too.

  13. Laugh extremely hard, for a long time, then say, "I don't get it" or "that wasnt funny", or "hahahahaha...no"

  15. Explain why the joke was funny (that ruins the whole thing)

  17. Add something too if someone adds something to the joke (and elicits laughter) (the classic third joke method).

  19. Once the joke has been told, laugh real hard, slap the joke-teller on the shoulder/back, then keep trying to repeat the punchline while laughing. Be sure never to complete the punchline, keep this routine going till people begin to leave.

  21. Ask what happens next.

  23. Don't laugh at all. Then promptly go into: "The version I heard... (with all the details)"

  25. When retelling the joke, make sure that you 'forget' most of it and spend about five times longer trying to recall the joke or correcting yourself than actually telling the joke.

  27. Give away the punchline at the beginning, saying something like: "Oh, I know this joke, this is what happens, right?"

  29. Tell a really long joke and forget the punchline

  31. When someone else is telling a joke, in the middle of it say "Anyway" and change the subject.

  33. While you are laughing obnoxiously, double over and exclaim "That's a knee-slapper!"

  35. Say "can I have those last few seconds of my life back?"

  37. Act like you're intrested in something else, look around and do not pay attention to them
