The Blonde and the Polaroid Camera

            The blonde happily picked up a Polaroid camera from where it sat on the card table. After flipping her shoulder-length glory she said with a frown, “How do you open the stupid thing to take a picture?” One of her friends standing nearby vaguely pointed to something on the camera (“Like that helps me any” thought the blonde).

            “O…kay…” After toying around with it for a minute or two the blonde finally figured it out. “A-ha!” she cried triumphantly. Setting her fingers in the correct places the blonde pretended to snap a few pictures but suddenly got bored.

            Turning to the person nearest her she said, “I’m done with this.” After the person shrugged and walked away the blonde bit her tongue in concentration and tried to figure out how to “shut the stupid picture-taking thingy.” It took her several minutes but finally and suddenly she managed to clamp the Polaroid shut.

            “OUCH!” she shrieked earning glares and surprised glances from the people around her. The blonde squeaked out: “I-I shut my pinky in the camera.”
