andrewssue1985 I always find using a lighter pencil like a 2b then working up to a 8b or something helps the shadin look less dark and obvious? also try not ot cover every inch of the page in pencil, maybe try using a rubber after its almost done to put highlights in? its a good try though

JessieAgain Hey, don't get so discouraged! Art is fun!!! And you're pretty talented. My tip: When you're drawing, try harder to concentrate on the specific curves and shapes such as the tip of the nose and which direction the ear is pointing. Trying to picture the whole photo is good wile focusing on proportions, but it is good to do it one small part at a time. Hey, the total image of the drawing has the same effect as the photo, which is good. :)
