"Hello, Mr. Robot" - This painting of mine won $2,500 - 2nd place in the painting category - at the Houston Culture shapers awards, fall of 08. The Idea behind the painting is that deep down we've lost human instinct/common sense and rely only on technology. Confusion is portrayed through bright colors and the "robots" expressions - full of anxiety and wonder as the sun and sky melt in chaos. In the background is a dead tree, buildings, and conveyer belt type object - giving the viewer a sense of over looming technology and loss of nature and life. Deep values and high contrast portray a dark urgency and morbid mood to the ever evident truth. :)Info
